RFA 210 -006 <br />on the previous business day. Customers are able to view historical reports <br />for the previous 5 business days, as needed. <br />F. POSITIVE PAY: To safeguard against fraudulent checks, positive pay is required on <br />the Consolidated, Enterprise, and Medical Clearing accounts from which paper checks <br />are issued. The applicant will provide a positive pay process which is fully automated <br />and web compatible. Check information will be transmitted electronically for each check <br />run. The City prefers to include payee verification services with complete <br />indemnification for fraudulent checks. The proposal must provide a fully automated and <br />web compatible transmission process. Manual check information should be able to be <br />input and transmitted on line. The City intends to combine positive pay services with <br />partial reconciliation services. Provide the following information: <br />1. Describe data transmission file and timing requirements for check registers. <br />At Wells Fargo, we give you two ways to transmit files to the bank: <br />Transmit your issue files electronically using one of our Secure File Transport (SFT) <br />transmission protocols. <br />Secure Appticatlon Fite Exchange (SAFE) Transmission is Wefts Fargo <br />Wholesale's strategic Internet solution for managed file transfers. Customers can <br />access SAFE Transmission through the Commercial Electronic Office <br />businewortal and take advantage of the security, reliability and convenience of <br />the CEO portal or by accessing the transfer service directly using client or <br />automation software. SAFE Transmission offers a variety of transmissions <br />protocols including https (hyper text transfer protocol secured), FTP over SSL <br />(FTP /S), secure FTP (S -FTP), and Applicability Statement 2 (AS2). SAFE <br />Transmissions offers other value add services such as virus scanning, email <br />alerts and PGP file encryption for all files. <br />Send ARP issue information through our Internet -based ARP Register Maintenance <br />service. The ARP Register Maintenance service is available through our Commercial <br />Electronic Office portal. <br />With so many options for transmitting and receiving data files, you can choose the <br />method that best suits your needs. <br />2. Is positive pay input for manual checks available on -line? Describe fully. <br />Yes, in addition to transmitting your issue files electronically, you also have the option of <br />updating your issue records manually. Send ARP issue information through our Internet - <br />based ARP Register Maintenance service. The ARP Register Maintenance service is <br />available through our Commercial Electronic Office portal or through one of our Secure <br />File Transport (SFT) transmission protocols. <br />Between these two options, Wells Fargo makes it easy for your staff to ensure we always <br />have your most current issue files. <br />3. Is exception reporting and handling managed totally online? Describe. <br />
