81 Regular Meeting June 8, 1981 Page 5 Mr. James introduced for consideration a Zoning Ordinance on first reading and a public hearing. Mr. James opened the public hearing. Mr. Clarence Miller, representing the owner of the property spoke in favor of the rezoning. Mr. Bill Pryatel stated that Billy Moore's report was not in the immediate vicinity of this property. Dr. Ken Long read an excerpt from Billy Moore's report. The public hearing was then closed. The Zoning Ordinance was then read in its entirety, the caption which follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED SEPTEMBER 29, 1980 (VOL. 54) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF LOT NOS. 12, 13, 14 AND 15 OF THE ZACK WILLIAMSON SECOND ADDI- TION, LOCATED ON MARLTON STREET, FROM "R-i" (SINGLE- FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DWELLING DISTRICT) TO "R-2" (DUPLEX DISTRICT). Mr. Cavazos moved fOr the approval of the Ordinance on first reading and Mrs. Mendez seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE: Cavazos, James and Mendez. NAY: Brown and Kreczmer. ABSTAIN: None. The motion failed. Mr. James introduced for consideration a Zoning Ordinance on first reading and a public hearing. Mr. James opened the public hearing. No one wished to speak in favor or against the rezoning, so Mr. James closed the public hearing. The Zoning Ordinance was then read in its entirety, the caption which follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, ANENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED SEPTEMBER 29, 1980 ~OL. 54) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF LOT NO. 4 IN BLOCK NO. 4 IN DAN McKIE SECOND ADDITION, A/K/A 402 McKIE STREET, FROM "R-i" (SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDEN- TIAL DWELLING DISTRICT) TO "OP" (OFFICE-PROFESSIONAL DISTRICT). Mr. Cavazos moved to approve the Ordinance on first reading and Mr. Kreczmer seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. No one wished to speak in favor or against the rezoning, so Mr. James closed the public hearing. Mr. Brown moved to approve the Ordinance on first reading and Mrs. Mendez seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
