Councilman DeLa Rosa moved that the ordinance be passed finally. The motion was seconded by Councilman King The I motion carried by the following vote: AYES: Mayor Flores and Councilmen Cunningham DeLa Rosa , Etheredge King Tauch , Yarbrough NOES: None. The Mayor announced that the ordinance had been passed finally. The Ordinance is as follows: WHEREAS, each and all of the members of the City Council of the City of San Marcos was duly and sufficiently notified, offi- cially and personally, in advance, of the time, place and purpose of this meeting; and WHEREAS, proper notice of this meeting has been duly and I timely posted as provided by law; and WHEREAS, the City Council determines and finds the advisability and necessity of constructing a police and courts building for said City and that same is an authorized need and said City has the requisite power and authority to contract for such construction and to issue interest-bearing certificates of obligation for the pur- pose of paying the contractual obligation and indebtedness of said City to be incurred by such construction, and for legal services and other related expenses in connection therewith; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos has here- tofore passed an ordinance authorizing the issuance of CITY OF SAN MARCOS CERTIFICATES OF OBLIGATION, SERIES B OF 1972, for the I purpose of paying the contractual obligation and indebtedness to be incurred in the constructing of a police and courts building for said City and for legal services and other related expenses in connection therewith; and WHEREAS, the following claim, duly verified, has been pre- sented to the City Council: ~ DATE PAYEE PURPOSE AMOUNT #2 12/01/72 Syring-1;lorkman, Inc.
