they become unsightly or blown off the grave. Ail decorations <br />must be firmly secured to the ground or marker. The placing <br />of boxes, shells, stones, boulders, toys, metal designs, chairs, <br />settees, urns, fences, trellises, wood or metal cases, and <br />similar articles upon lots shall not be permitted. If any plant <br />life becomes detrimental to the adjacent lots, walks or roads, <br />the caretaker shall have the right to remove or cut the plant life. <br />Glass containers for flowers are prohibited. Also, above-ground <br />vaults are prohibited. <br /> <br />SECTION '9. 'ROADWAYS AND REPLANTING. The City reserves the right <br />to change the boundaries or grading of the cemetery. The City- <br />also reserves the right to use unsold cemetery property for <br />other cemetery-related purposes. It is unlawful for anyone to <br />drive a vehicle on cemetery lots. This does not include those. <br />persons responsible for taking care of the cemetery while per- <br />forming their duties. <br /> <br />SECTION 10, PERPETUAL CARE. In addition to the purchase of a <br />lot, everyone is now required to buy perpetual care, provided <br />however, that perpetual care is not required in Dixon Addition, <br />Section 1 and the mausoleum. Such costs shall be set by <br />the City Council. Perpetual care means the nutting and watering <br />of the grass at reasonable intervals; the cleaning of lots; the <br />general care of trees and shrubs and the general preservation <br />of lots and grounds so they remain adequately cared for as cemetery <br />grounds forever. <br /> <br />MORE ON PERPETUAL CARE. Perpetual care shall not include the <br />repair or replacement of any gravestones, monuments or memorials. <br />Perpetual care shall include the maintenance of the public <br />mausoleum. Any lot not now under perpetual care maybe placed <br />under perpetual care by paying the required fee. General care <br />will be given lots which were sold without perpetual care so that <br />the beauty of the cemetery be maintained. The City assumes no <br />responsibility to maintain these lots forever. Lots having perpetual <br />care shall always have preference over non-perpetual care lots. <br /> <br />SECTION 11. EXCEPTIONS T© PERPETUAL'C~RE~REQUIREMENT. The Dixon <br /> <br />Addition, Section 1, is set aside for persons financially unable <br />to provide perpetual care or for children under two years of age. <br />Grave spaces shall be sold in regular order as shown on the plat <br />on file in the City Manager's office. ©ne additional space may <br />be purchased by a surviving spouse to reserve a burial space <br />adjacent to the deceased spouse. Under no other circumstances <br />shall a specific burial space be reserved in Section 1 of the <br />Dixon Addition. <br /> <br /> <br />
