<br />~~EREAS, the said Exa Phillips Nelson, Marian Nelson Meeks,

<br />Hugh A. Nelson, Jr., and Reuben H. Meeks, Trustee, have petitioned

<br />the City of San Marcos to close and abandon said street portions, and
<br />

<br />have further petitioned said City to quit-claim to them all right,
<br />
<br />title and interest which said City may have:

<br />NOW, THEREFORE, be it enacted and ordained by the City Council
<br />
<br />of the City of San Marcos, Texas:
<br />
<br />1. That the following described portions of Veramendi and Park
<br />
<br />Streets, as shown on the map or plat of H. A. Nelson's First Addition
<br />
<br />to the City of San Marcos, Texas, be, and they are hereby, abandoned,
<br />
<br />vacated, discontinued and closed as public streets of the City of
<br />
<br />San Marcos:

<br />A tract or parcel of land, being portions of Veramendi Street
<br />and Park Street as shown on the plat of the H. A. Nelson's
<br />First Addition to the City of San Marcos, Texas, duly re-
<br />corded in Volume 89, page 224, of the Hays County Deed
<br />Records, described more fully by metes and bounds ,as fo llows:

<br />BEGINNING at a point located in the Southwest right-of-way
<br />line of Park Street, said point bears N 35059' W. 37.0 feet
<br />from an iron stake at the intersection of Park Street and
<br />Pleasant Street (the latter street being presently known as
<br />Olmos Drive);
<br />
<br />THENCE, with tbe Southwest right-of-way line of Park Street,
<br />N 35055' W for 241.50 feet to a point located in the South~
<br />east right-of-way line of Veramendi Street and marking the
<br />North corner of Lot 4, Block 2 of the Nelson's First Addition;

<br />THENCE, with the South right-of-way line of Veramendi Street
<br />and in accordance with the recorded plat of said Addition, S
<br />59000' W for 137.57 feet to a point for corner; said point
<br />bears N 59000' S 70.53 feet from an iron rod marking the
<br />West eorlli~r of Let 1, Block 2 as located at tha intersection
