-2- <br /> <br />to the City Council within one hundred fifty (150) <br />days of authorization to proceed. <br /> <br />B. Final Design Phase <br /> <br />After receipt of written notice to proceed with the <br />City approved preliminary design, Engineer shall: <br /> <br />1) Proceed with the final design phase of those improve- <br /> ments authorized and agreed upon. <br /> <br />2) Prepare final drawings and specifications with <br /> approved modifications and additions resulting from <br /> City's review of the preliminary, design. <br /> <br />3) Prepare detailed contract drawings, on drafting <br /> vellum or mylar film and/or on photographic <br /> reproducible mylar film; and prepare specifications. <br /> These designs shall in all respects combine the <br /> application of sound engineering principles with a <br /> high degree of economy. Designs shall be sukmitted <br /> by Engineer to all applicable state and federal <br /> agencies for approval. <br /> <br />4) Prior to actual printing and delivery of the final <br /> plans and specifications, submit a copy to City for <br /> final review and con~ents. <br /> <br />5) Make approved modifications and additions to the con- <br /> tract drawings resulting from City's final review. <br /> <br />6) Furnish to City when necessary the engineering data <br /> necessary for application for permits required by <br /> local, state and federal authorities, grants or <br /> planning advances, provided that such data need not <br /> extend beyond that actually developed in the perfor- <br /> mance of the other covenants in this Agreement. <br /> <br />7) Advise City of any adjustments to Engineer's latest <br /> opinion of probable project cost caused by daanges in <br /> scope, design .requirements or construction costs and <br /> furnish a revised opinion of probable Project cost <br /> based on the drawings and specifications. <br /> <br />8) Prepare bid forms, notice to bidders, instructions to <br /> bidders, general conditions and supplementary condi- <br /> tions and assist in the preparation of other related <br /> documents. <br /> <br />9) Furnish five (5) copies of approved contract drawings <br /> and specifications to City. All sets of plans in <br /> excess of twenty (20) shall be paid for separately. <br /> <br />C. Bidding Phase <br /> <br />After written authorization to proceed with the bidding, <br />Engineer shall: <br /> <br />1) Prepare a bid tabulation sheet. <br /> <br />2) Investigate prospective bidders and prepare a <br /> recon~aendation regarding award of the contract. <br /> <br /> <br />
