PROFESSIONAL CONSULTANT SERVICES AGREEMENT <br />This Agreement is made this the 15th day of June, 2010, between the City of San Marcos, <br />Texas ( "City "), 630 East Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas 78666 and Broaddus & Associates, Inc. <br />( "Consultant "), 1301 Capital of Texas Highway, Suite A -302, Austin, Texas 78746 for the <br />preparation of a Facility Needs Assessment for the City of San Marcos, Texas. <br />The City and the Consultant agree as follows: <br />ARTICLE 1 <br />CONSULTANT'S SERVICES AND RESPONSIBILITIES <br />1.0 STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE <br />1.0.1 The Consultant will be responsible for the proper, accurate and adequate <br />preparation of a Facilities Needs Assessment (the "Project ") for the City of San Marcos, <br />Texas that includes 16 buildings owned by the City. Buildings to be evaluated include: <br />a) City Hall; <br />b) Municipal Building; <br />c) Public Works Building *; <br />d) Permit Center; <br />e) Parks and Recreation Building and Environmental Health (Grant Harris Building); <br />f) Main Street Program Office; <br />g) Police Department; <br />h) San Marcos WIC (Women Infants & Children) Office; <br />i) San Marcos Electric Utility Building *; <br />j) Fire Marshall /Code Inspections Bldg.; <br />k) Wastewater Treatment Facility *; <br />1) Fire Station #1, <br />m) Fire Station #2; <br />n) Fire Station #3; <br />o) Fire Station #4; and <br />p) Fire Station #5. <br />*These facilities have been previously assessed by the City or are of a character that requires a <br />less in depth level of assessment by the Consultant. For the aforementioned facilities, the City <br />will provide any existing analysis information to the Consultant at the Consultant's request. <br />The Consultant understands that this Project is intended to guide the City's approach in <br />determining future facility needs and provide recommendations for making physical <br />improvements to existing facilities. In addition, the Consultant will include recommendations <br />for the reuse, disposal, or replacement of surplus or antiquated properties or buildings, which no <br />longer serve the purpose or use for which those properties were intended.
