147 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AUGUST 10, 1981 PRESENT: Mayor Emmie Craddock Council Members Karl W. Brown Robert L. Cavazos Berry R. James John A. Kreczmer Elida A. Mendez Tess Norris City Manager City Secretary City Attorney Director of Finance Director of Public Safety Acting Director of Public Works A. C. Gonzalez Janis K. Womack Barbara Edwards Earl Williams Bob Minnie George Boeker Also Present: Dinah Elwell, Jake Krauskopf, Gene Hildebrandt, Gregg Echols, Jerri Martin, Chris Bishop, Billy Moore, Ken Long, Charles Stone, Joe Garza, Frances Emery, James Harrison, Mike Gossett, George Haines, Ron Carroll and others. The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of the minutes of the Regular Meeting held July 27, 1981. Mrs. Norris moved to approve the minutes and Mrs. Mendez seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE: Brown, Cavazos, James, Kreczmer, Mendez and Norris. NAY: None. ABSTAIN: Craddock. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of the minutes of the Emergency Meeting held July 31, 1981. Mr. James moved to approve the minutes and Mr. Brown seconded the motion. On roll call the follow- ing vote was recorded: AYE: Brown, Cavazos, James, Mendez and Norris. NAY: None. ABSTAIN: Craddock and Kreczmer. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of the minutes of the Emergency Meeting held August 5, 1981. Mr. Brown moved to approve the minutes and Mrs. Norris seconded the motion. On roll call the fol- lowing vote was recorded: AYE: Brown, Cavazos, James, Mendez and Norris. NAY: None. ABSTAIN: Craddock and Kreczmer. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration the nominations to fill the unexpired term on Planning and Zoning Commission. Mrs. Norris announced that John Stokes asked to have his name removed from the nominations. The two nominations remaining to be considered were Richard (Ricky) Hernandez and Billy Moore. On roll call the follow- ing vote was recorded: RICHARD HERNANDEZ: Cavazos, James and Mendez. BILLY MOORE: Brown, Craddock, Kreczmer and Norris.
