161 <br /> <br />Special Meeting <br /> <br />August 17, 1981 <br /> <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />AYE: Brown, Cavazos, James, Craddock, Kreczmer and Mendez. <br /> <br />NAY: None. <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: Norris. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration the adoption of a Resolu- <br />tion approving final payment to Freese and Nichols, Inc. for waste- <br />water system mapping, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING FINAL PAYMENT IN THE <br />AMOUNT OF $3,731.40 TO FREESE AND NICHOLS, INC., OF <br />AUSTIN, TEXAS, FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES IN CONNECTION <br />WITH THE REVISION OF EXISTING GRID MAPS OF SAID CITY <br />AND THE PREPARATION OF WASTEWATER COLLECTION SYSTEM <br />MAPS FOR SAID CITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH A CONTRACT BE- <br />TWEEN SAID CITY AND FREESE AND NICHOLS, INC. EXECUTED <br />SEPTEMBER 3, 1980, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mrs. Norris moved for the adoption of the Resolution and Mr. James <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Brown moved that the Council adjourn to Executive Session pursuant <br />to Article 6252-17, Section 2(g), V.A.C.S., to discuss personnel and <br />Mr. Kreczmer seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The <br />Council remained in Executive Session for approximately an hour. <br /> <br />Upon the Council's return to the Council Chambers, Mr. Brown moved <br />that the Council convene from Executive Session and Mr. James se- <br />conded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock announced that the three Council appointees' salaries <br />were reviewed by Council for the 1981-1982 budget year and they would <br />be as follows: A. C. Gonzalez - $33,000; Janis Womack - $14,500; and <br />Barbara Edwards - $22,000. <br /> <br />Mr. Brown moved that the salaries be incorporated into the 1981-1982 <br />Budget and Mrs. Norris seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The meeting adjourned at 10:30 p.m. on motion of Mrs. Norris and se- <br /> <br />conded by Mrs. Mendez. <br /> <br />Karl W.
