Be <br /> <br />Eo <br /> <br />Je <br /> <br />ne <br /> <br />-2- <br /> <br />at 8:00 a.m. and locked at 7:00 p.m. each day during daylight <br />savings time. They shall be opened at 8:00 a.m. and locked at <br />6:00 p.m. central standard time each day. This service shall <br />be performed seven (7) days per week. <br /> <br />Caretaker Service--Contractor shall have at least one full-time <br />employee on site from 8:00 a~m. to 5:00 p.m. from Monday through <br />Friday each week. The employee shall be trained to locate grave- <br />sites, within two (2) weeks of award of contract. <br /> <br />Grave plots and curb paramenter are to be located and corners <br />marked by Contractor as needed by City. The method of reaching <br />Contractor (whether by telephone, radio, walkie-talkie, etc.) <br />will be named by Contractor at award of bid. Response time for <br />requests made by City on marking of gravesites and curb parameters <br />will be no greater than one (1) hour. <br /> <br />Showing Lots for Sale--Contractor shall be responsible for showing <br />cemetery lots for sale to citizens visiting the Cemetery. The <br />map of available lots will be provided the Contractor by City with- <br />in one (1) week of award of contract. The measure of performance <br />by Contractor will be based on citizen response. <br /> <br />Clearing Gravesites--Gravesites are to be cleared once per month <br />after funeral services of rocks and other debris and topsoil <br />placed on the grave. <br /> <br />Clearing Vegetation--Fallen trees or tree limbs, dead vegetation <br />and dead flowers are to be removed as specified in the cemetery <br />rules. <br /> <br />Clearing Li.ve Vegetation--All small trees, over-grown shrubs or <br />other plant material which germinates or is currently growing <br />near headstones, curbs or other o~ects that could be damaged, <br />shall be removed. Any small trees, over-grown shrubs or other <br />plants which encroach on surrounding cemetery lots shall be cut <br />back. <br /> <br />Mausoleum Care--Mausoleum care shall include sweeping out the <br />building before services take place and destroying any wasp or <br />other insect nests inside the building. <br /> <br />Weeds--Weeds in gravel on gravesites shall be destroyed by use <br />of herbicides. Weed height shall not be allowed to exceed three <br />(3) inches. <br /> <br />Brush--All brush cut by the Contractor will be piled up until it <br />can be removed by Contractor from the cemetery within two (2) <br />weeks of cutting. <br /> <br />Flying Flag--A United States flag will be raised on the days <br />listed below (weather permitting): <br /> <br />President's Birthday <br />Mother's Day <br />Memorial Day <br />Flag Day <br />Father's Day <br />Independence Day <br />Labor Day <br />Columbus Day <br />Veteran's Day <br /> <br />Recordkeeping--All daily burial and ownership records are to be <br />maintained by Contractor. Records are to be maintained according <br />to City standards. Employees of Contractor shall be trained by <br />City within two (2) weeks of contract award. If, after the train- <br />ing period, the City feels that Contractor's employee is not <br />capable of handling this function, City may require that another <br />employee be so trained.
