-3- <br /> <br />month a list of all burials performed in that month shall be <br />sent to City Hall. City will transact all sales and issue deeds. <br />Deeds shall be maintained at City Hall. City at any time may in- <br />spect record being maintained; and, if recordkeeping is found to <br />be inadequate, this inadequacy will constitute grounds for termi- <br />nation of the contract. <br /> <br />Me <br /> <br />Use of Herbicides--If Contractor elects to use herbicides for <br />trim work specified herein, Contractor shall furnish to City a <br />written list of any and all herbicides Contractor plans to use. <br />This shall be accomplished within one (1) week of contract award. <br />City shall have authority to veto use of any herbicides City feels <br />may cause damage to the environment. All herbicides will be <br />applied by a licensed applicator only. <br /> <br /> VII. <br />TURF CARE - FINE CUT <br /> <br /> This work shall include all labor, materials, equipment, supplies <br />and services to maintain in a superior condition all turf areas, approx- <br />imately thirty-two (32) acres in scope. These areas shall be maintained <br />with a crisp, clean appearance and as otherwise delineated herein. <br /> <br />Ail turf areas indicated shall receive no less than the following: <br /> <br />ne <br /> <br />Mowinq height shall be no less than three (3) inches for all <br />general turf areas covered by these specifications and stan- <br />dards. Mowing height may be no greater than three and one-half <br />(3½) inches. Mower adjustment is to be made and measured on a <br />flat paved surface. During the season in which bluebonnets <br />blossom, the flowers shall not be mowed until the seeds have <br />dropped. <br /> <br />Edging Sidewalks and Other Paved Areas--All sidewalk-turf edges <br />shall be edged either with herbicides or machinery, to insure a <br />clean appearance and shall be maintained level with the height <br />of the surrounding turf. This standard will, also, include all <br />fluSh-paved areas such as drives, walkways, and any other con- <br />creted areas. <br /> <br />Edging Headstones--All headstones areas are to be trimmed either <br />with herbicides or machinery to maintain the height of the sur- <br />rounding turf. <br /> <br />De <br /> <br />Se <br /> <br />Other Edging--All other turf edges such as those at shrub beds, <br />flower beds, around "in-lawn" trees, curb sides, etc., shall be <br />edged either with herbicides or machinery as necessary to main- <br />tain the required clean appearance, even with the fine cut height. <br /> <br />Irrigation--All turf areas except in the Old Original Addition <br />shall be watered as needed to maintain a uniform growth pattern. <br />Water shall be applied so that the grass retains a normal green <br />color. Were possible (over major areas) soil surface in turf <br />areas shall be permitted to dry out between waterings. Care <br />must, also, be taken not to overwater or "waterlog" any area. <br />Trees and other plants shall be protected from overwatering and <br />run-off drowning. No irrigation will be required where water <br />pressure drops below forty (40) psi or where more than one hundred <br />fifty (150)feet of hose are required. <br /> <br /> VIII. <br />TURF CARE - ROUGH CUT <br /> <br /> This work shall include all materials, equipment, supplies and services <br />necessary to maintain in a safe condition all fringe or rough areas, ap- <br />proxima%ely ten (10) acres. All rough areas are to be mowed at a height <br />.of fi~e (5) inChes and not allowed to exceed eight (8) inches between~mow- <br />ings. Fences are to be kept free of trees and brush as needed to prevent <br />damage to the fences and provide reasonable fire safety. <br /> <br />Other provisions include: <br /> <br /> <br />
