<br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />2>23. <br /> <br />June 14, 2004 <br /> <br />Page 5 <br /> <br />one did, so Mayor Narvaiz closed the public hearing. Mr. Diaz moved for <br />adoption of the Zoning Ordinance and Mr. Taylor seconded the motion. Mr. <br />Mihalkanin stated the Planning and Zoning Commission approved this zoning <br />application 5 to 2. Mr. Taylor inquired whether the tower was the Alamo <br />water tower. Mr. O'Leary stated this tower is located on Comanche Street. <br />He stated the antennas will be removed from the Alamo tower and relocated <br />to this new tower. He stated the water tower is 165 feet and the proposed <br />tower is 190 feet. Mr. Mihalkanin inquired whether the water tower would <br />be torn down. Mr. O'Leary stated the water tower would be removed. Mr. <br />Mihalkanin stated he is concerned whether the new tower can service all <br />the existing communication antennas. On roll call the following vote was <br />recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Diaz, Guerrero, Mihalkanin, Narvaiz, Bose and Taylor. <br /> <br />NAY: Thomaides. <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: None. <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration approval of minutes of the <br />Special Meeting held May 24, 2004, approval of minutes of the Regular <br />Meeting held May 24, 2004, approval of two Ordinances on second reading, <br />adoption of four Ordinances on third and final reading, adoption of eleven <br />Resolutions, approval of Change Order No.1 in the amount of $28,904.00 in <br />connection with the SCADA System Upgrade by BLOC Design-Build, LLC, <br />approval of Change Order No.1 in the amount of $65,525.00 in connection <br />with the Sunset Water and Wastewater Improvernents by Du-Mor Enterprises, <br />Inc. for construction of a new water rnain on Candlelight and Del Sol <br />Streets and approval of Change of Services No. 3 in the amount of <br />$56,205.00 in connection with the Post Road Paving and Drainage <br />Improvements by Baker-Aicklen & Associates, Inc., on consensus. The <br />Council removed Item 15, approval of an Ordinance on second reading, Items <br />18 and 19, adoption of Ordinances on third and final reading, Items 25 and <br />29, adoption of Resolution$, to be considered separately. Mr. Mihalkanin <br />moved for approval of minutes of the Special Meeting held May 24, 2004, <br />approval of minutes of the Regular Meeting held May 24, 2004, approval of <br />one Ordinance on second reading, adoption of two Ordinances on third and <br />final reading, adoption of the remaining nine Resolutions, approval of <br />Change Order No.1 in the amount of $28,904.00 in connection with the <br />SCADA System Upgrade by BLOC Design-Build, LLC., approval of Change Order <br />No.1 in the amount of $65,525.00 in connection with the Sunset Water and <br />Wastewater Improvements by Du-Mor Enterprises, Inc. for construction of a <br />new water main on Candlelight and Del Sol Streets and approval of Change <br />of Services No.3 in the amount of $56,205.00 in connection with the Post <br />Road Paving and Drainage Improvements by Baker-Aicklen & Associates, Inc., <br />and the clarification on Item 20 is approved, and Mr. Thomaides seconded <br />the motion, which passed unanimously.
