<br />1.1.7 Assemble a Project team comprised of the City's representatives and the Engineer's <br />representatives. The Engineer will meet with the Project team to set the design and production <br />schedule and parameters for all subsequent work, to verify the components within which all <br />Project participants must perform, and to identify all parties and significant deadlines involved in <br />the comprehensive schedule strategy. Based on this information, the Engineer will prepare a <br />detailed schedule of its work for the Project addressing each component of the work to be done, <br />indicating the points of involvement of all project participants. <br /> <br />1.1.8 Assist the City in connection with the City's responsibility for filing documents required <br />for the approval of governmental authorities having jurisdiction over the Project. <br /> <br />1.2 PHASE 1 - PRELIMINARY DESIGN <br /> <br />The Engineer will: <br /> <br />1.2.1 Attend meetings and conferences, as necessary to review preliminary design documents <br />with the City, and to obtain information and coordinate and/or resolve design matters. <br /> <br />1.2.2 Perform pavement inspection/documentation to establish the extent of the apron <br />rehabilitation necessary. <br /> <br />1.2.3 Develop a project scope and budget including professional services and construction <br />costs within the proposed grant amount of $1,050,000.00. The extent of apron pavement <br />rehabilitation and associated budget will be presented to and reviewed with the City for approval. <br /> <br />1.3 PHASE 2 - FINAL DESIGN PHASE <br /> <br />The Engineer will: <br /> <br />1.3.1 On the basis of the accepted extent of pavement rehabilitation and budget, prepare final <br />design documents consisting of all final drawings, bid items, technical specifications, <br />modifications and other related documents. All documents prepared by the Engineer for this <br />Project will be prepared in conformance with standards provided by TxDOT and the Federal <br />Aviation Administration ("FAA"). The Engineer will provide the City with 3 copies and <br />TxDOT with one copy of the draft final design documents for review. <br /> <br />1.3.2 Furnish the City with a final construction cost estimate based on the final drawings and <br />specifications. Engineer will submit to the City and explanation of any estimated costs that <br />exceed the approved project budget. <br /> <br />1.3.3 Make revisions to the final design documents as may be required after review by the City, <br />TxDOT and any other entities with approval authority. The Engineer will furnish the City with <br />three copies and TxDOT with one copy of all revised documents described in Section 1.3.1 and <br />of the completed drawings and specifications. <br />Carter & Burgess Û4JNpd <br /> <br />2 <br />
