Matthew Lewis, Assistant Director of Development Services, stated that we are revising the code to remove inconsistent and unclear language, promote an attractive visual environment, improve clarity, conciseness, and predictability, and support good planning practices. 20. Public Hearing to receive comment for and against an ordinance amending the future land use map from "HDR" High Density Residential to "MDR" Medium Density Residential for a 1.35 acre, more or less, tract of land out of the J.M. Veramendi Survey No. 2, Abstract No. 17, located at 400 Briar Meadow; amending the official zoning map of the City by rezoning this tract from "FD" Future Development to "MF -12" Multi - Family; and including procedural provisions; and consider adoption of Zoning Ordinance 2010 -41. Mayor Narvaiz opened the Public Hearing at 8:35 p.m. There being no comments, the Public Hearing was closed at 8:35 p.m. MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Thomaides and a second by Councilmember Thomason, the City Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed, to adopt Ordinance 2010 -41, as previously captioned. The motion carried unanimously. 21. Public Hearing to receive comments for and against amending the San Marcos Horizons City Master Plan by adopting the Institute of Transportation Engineers Context Sensitive Solutions Manual as an appendix to the Transportation Master Plan, removing a portion of Loop 110 from the Transportation Master Plan, and adding an extension of Leah Avenue from Clovis Barker Road to McCarty Lane to the Transportation Master Plan; and including procedural provisions; and consider ordinance on the first of two readings.
