1.0.6 Engineer will perform all of its services in coordination with the City. The Engineer will
advise the City of data and information the Engineer needs to perform its services and the
Engineer will meet with City representatives at mutually convenient times to assemble this data
and information.
1.1 TASK 1- PRELIMINARY SERVICES & SURVEY
The Engineer will:
1.1.1 Assemble a Project team comprised of the City's representatives and the Engineer's
representatives. The Engineer will meet with the Project team to set the design and production
schedule and parameters for all subsequent work, to verify the components within which all
Project participants must perform, and to identify all parties and significant deadlines involved in
the comprehensive schedule strategy. Based on this information, the Engineer will prepare a
detailed schedule of its work for the Project addressing each component of the work to be done,
indicating the points of involvement of all project participants.
1.1.2 Prepare and submit all paperwork necessary for the City to obtain all applicable permits
and approvals from the appropriate agencies affected by the Project. It is anticipated that a
Water Pollution Abatement Plan (the "Plan") will be required by the Texas Commission on
Environmental Equality ("TCEQ") in accordance with 30 Texas Administrative Code Chapter
213. The Engineer will conduct all required on-ground investigations, prepare the required plan,
submit the Plan to TCEQ and respond to TCEQ's questions and comments. Any fees required
by TCEQ for this effort will be paid by the City.
1.1.3 Advise the City as to any geotechnical services required and incorporate the results of
these services into the construction contract drawings as appropriate. The Engineer will review
existing reports and other information prepared by independent consulting firms and provided to
the City as those documents are pertinent to this Project. The Engineer will assist in coordinating
the schedules of these independent firms involved on the Project and the transmittal of their
reports, findings or other information to the City. The Engineer will not be responsible for the
accuracy or completeness of the work and reports prepared by geotechnical firms.
1. 1.4 Conduct monthly meetings with the City and other interested parties to review progress
on the Project. Both parties assume that preliminary services and survey will continue for three
months from the date of execution of this Agreement and that there will be no more than four
monthly meetings included in this Task. The Engineer will prepare meeting agendas for each
meeting and will compile and distribute meeting minutes within five business days of each
meeting.
1.1.5 Surveying. Provide a survey of a portion of the approximately one acre site where the
existing Oakridge booster pumping station is located at the end of Harmon's Way. The Engineer
will include all existing improvements, as well as the location for the proposed improvements in
the portion(s) surveyed. The Engineer will base this survey on an on-the-ground survey that will
be produced at a one (1) foot interval and will and will include:
wtners Oakrdige Booster Pump Project
2
