a) Contacting City utilities to locate and mark all known underground utilities; <br />b) Establishing a maximum of one (1) Project specific benchmark for topographic, <br />boundary, and future construction layout surveys; <br />c) Locating all above ground planimetric features, including, but not limited to edges of <br />asphalt, back of curb, culverts (flowlines of culverts and sizes), mailboxes, driveways, <br />evidence of underground utilities, fences (including type), trees (8" diameter or <br />greater) and other pertinent features affecting design; <br />d) During the construction phase, providing one (1) time construction staking for the <br />Project; and <br />e) CAD drawing preparation. <br />1.1.6 Assist the City in connection with the City's responsibility for filing documents required <br />for the approval of governmental authorities having jurisdiction over the Project. <br />1.2 TASK 2 - DESIGN <br />This task includes the preparation of technical plans and specifications for insertion into <br />the City's bid-ready contract documents and a final construction cost estimate. The Engineer <br />will: <br />1.2.1 Assist the City in the preparation of construction contract documents using City forms <br />based on the approved design development documents and any further adjustments authorized by <br />the City in the scope, quality or budget of the Project. The Engineer will use its best professional <br />judgment to create technical documents that comply with applicable construction and <br />development codes, local regulations and ordinances and other federal and state regulations <br />which are known or which should reasonably be known to the Engineer. <br />1.2.2 Head the Project team and coordinate the integration of design, surveying, traffic control, <br />utility Engineering, permitting and other services as previously approved. <br />1.2.3 Select pumps from information developed in the hydraulic review and configure the <br />pumps. <br />1.2.4 Evaluate the existing generator for compatibility with the proposed pump station. <br />1.2.5 Submit all paperwork necessary to the TCEQ necessary for its review and approval. The <br />Engineer will respond to TCEQ questions and comments and will copy the City on any related <br />correspondence. Any fees related to the Engineer's submission of paperwork to TCEQ will be <br />paid by the City. <br />1.2.6 Prepare detailed plans/construction drawings for the Project to include a title sheet, <br />location and vicinity maps, legend and abbreviation sheet, index to drawings, survey data, City <br />of San Marcos General Construction Requirements and Notes, an erosion control plan, pump <br />station and tank improvements and other pertinent information as required for the Project to be <br />accurately bid and efficiently constructed.
