Attachment "A" <br />The City of San Marcos <br />BREAKER addition at Canyon Substation <br />Scope of Services - Engineering, Materials, and Construction <br />August 20, 2008 <br />INTRODUCTION <br />This Scope of Services is intended to cover engineering, materials management, <br />construction, and project management necessary for the addition of three breaker foundations <br />and associated relay and controls owned by San Marcos Electric Utilities (SMEU). <br />RESPONSIBILITIES AND STATEMENT OF WORK <br />The LCRA responsibility for this project is to prepare drawings, supply materials and construction <br />resources to add three breaker foundations and associated relay and controls. <br />LCRA personnel will coordinate outages through LCRA System Operations and Control Center <br />for the work. <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />1. Proiect Management <br />LCRA personnel will monitor the engineering, materials management, and construction <br />progress throughout the life of the project to ensure that the project is within schedule and <br />budget limits, that resources are being efficiently allocated, and to provide reporting on a <br />regular or an as-requested basis. <br />2. Engineering <br />A. A design will be prepared to include the following: <br />a. Three recloser/breaker foundations <br />b. Conduit and cable from the three breaker foundations to the control house <br />c. Two panels for two of the breakers <br />d. Two substation surge arrester sets on feeders (top of "A" frame) <br />e. One space for future panel for third recloser/breaker <br />B. A Materials list will be prepared to include the following: <br />a. Concrete/rebar for three recloser/breaker foundations <br />b. Conduit <br />c. Two surge arrester sets <br />d. Nine hook stick switches <br />e. Two circuits, 125 DC <br />f. Two circuits, 120 AC <br />g. Cables per feeder (2) <br />i. 1 - 2/c #10 DC cable - DC panel board to new feeder panel <br />ii. 1 - 4/c #10 AC cable - AC panel board to recloser/breaker <br />iii. 1 - 4/c #10 CT cable - new feeder panel to recloser/breaker <br />iv. 1 - 12/c #10 SHLD Control cable - new feeder panel to <br />recloser/breaker <br />v. 1 - 4/c #10 PT cable - PT Dist/Anu panel to new feeder <br />C. Construction will include the following: <br />a. Three recloser/breaker foundations <br />b. Install conduit from the recloser/breaker foundations to the control house <br />c. Install communication cable from control house to Micro Wave tower <br />Construction review and as-builts will be provided during construction and at <br />completion of the construction period. <br />3. Materials Management <br />A. All materials specified by the approved For Construction plans and drawings, will be <br />procured by LCRA and shall be delivered to the job site by LCRA or its <br />contractor/vendor unless directed otherwise by SMEU. <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />Prepared by M.
