C. The Contractor shall deliver 96 gallon recycling carts, with lids, for single stream recycling. <br />There shall be no delivery charge for delivery of 96 gallon single stream recycling carts. The <br />carts shall have different color schemes and markings to distinguish them from the residential <br />solid waste collection carts. <br />D. Contractor shall provide monthly reports by the 10`h day of the month following the end of the <br />previous calendar month that reflect the total tonnage of residential solid waste and the total <br />tonnage of single stream recyclable materials collected by Contractor in the contract area. <br />These reports shall be in a format deemed sufficient by the San Marcos City Manager. If the <br />total tonnage of single stream recyclable materials collected in the contract area exceeds 135 <br />tons per month in any running twelve month period, Contractor shall provide to City a credit of <br />$3,000 in the value of trees to be delivered from Contractor's tree farm. After this has been <br />achieved, when the recyclable materials collected in the contract area exceeds 145 tons per <br />month in any running subsequent twelve month period, Contractor shall provide to City an <br />additional credit of $4,000 in the value of trees to be delivered from the Contractor's tree farm. <br />After this has been achieved, when the recyclable materials collected in the contract area <br />exceeds 155 tons per month in any running subsequent twelve month period, Contractor shall <br />provide to City an additional credit of $5,000 in the value of trees to be delivered from the <br />Contractor's tree farm. City shall specify tree types, quantities, and delivery locations. Other <br />incentives may be negotiated at the end of the initial contract term in consideration of contract <br />extensions. <br />E. Single-stream recyclable materials shall include: newspaper, office paper (plain or color paper, <br />envelopes, stationery, & sticky notes); shredded paper; junk mail (inserts, magazines, catalogs, <br />ad circulars, etc.); boxboard (e.g. food box packaging such as cereal boxes; corrugated <br />cardboard; aluminum food cans (with or without labels) or beverage cans; rigid plastic jugs and <br />bottles with recycle symbol # 1 through 5 and 7; round plastic tubs (e.g. yogurt and butter tubs) <br />with recycle symbol #1 through 5 and 7; small plastic food packaging (e.g. fruit cups and baby <br />food containers); unbroken glass bottles or jars of any color. <br />F. Contractor shall have no obligation to accept the following materials in the single stream <br />recycling carts: disposable plastic bags; ovenable meat trays, any form of Styrofoam #6; pizza <br />boxes; or plastic disposable meat trays. <br />1.3.3 Residential Unit Bulky Waste, Construction Debris <br />A. The Contractor will collect bulky waste and construction debris from each residential unit two <br />times per month on the same day as the regular scheduled solid waste collection. The <br />Contractor will provide the City and all residential customers with a schedule of collection <br />dates. Construction debris generated from commercial remodel and demolition is excluded. <br />B. Scheduled collection will be on the basis of advance customer calls to the city. <br />C. The cost for this service will be included in the cost per month per residential unit for basic <br />residential service.
