Passing this ordinance sets a <br />positive example to other communities. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Couch and a second by Councilmember <br />Jones, the City Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed, to approve Ordinance 2008- <br />62, as previously captioned. The motion carried unanimously. <br />28. Reconsideration of Ordinance 2008 -59, adopted December 2, 2008, amending the <br />development standards for a single lot within the Stonecreek Crossing Subdivision, and <br />including procedural provisions. <br />There was no reconsideration of Ordinance 2008 -59. <br />29. Reconsideration of Ordinance 2008 -60, adopted December 2, 2008, amending the <br />official zoning map of the City by rezoning 1.520 acres, more or less, out of the J.M. <br />Veramendi League #2, located at 1210 Old Martindale Road, from "SF -6" Single- Family <br />Residential District to "SF -R" Single - Family Rural Residential District; and including <br />procedural provisions. <br />There was no reconsideration of Ordinance 2008 -60. <br />30. Discussion on the possible formation of a Neighborhood Commission and provide <br />direction to staff. <br />Council discussed the creation of a new Neighborhood Commission that would be charged with <br />addressing neighborhood issues. Staff was directed to research what TML and NLC models to <br />see how this could encompass all neighborhoods. <br />31. Question and answer session with press and public. <br />There were no questions. <br />32. Adiournment. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Jones and a second by Councilmember <br />Terry, the City Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed, to adjourn the regular session <br />of the San Marcos City Council at 9:33 p.m. on Tuesday, December 16, 2008.
