ATTTACHMENT A <br />RABA-KISTNER-BRYTEST CONSULTANTS, INC. SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />Construction Materials Observation, Testing and Engineering Services <br />For Project No. PAD08-179-00 <br />Both the Consultant and the City understand that this agreement is considered a Master <br />Service Agreement and that various Services Assignments by the City in subsequent written <br />Work Authorizations (included as Attachment B) will be provided over the course of the <br />contract. Services will be provided on a call out basis for the unit fees attached to this proposal <br />with the City only being invoiced for services rendered. This scope of work generally includes <br />the inspection and testing of the following construction materials: <br />• Laboratory testing, in-place field nuclear density testing, and proof-rolling inspection; <br />• Drilled pier inspection; <br />• Concrete compressive strength specimen sampling, testing, and reporting; <br />• Prepour reinforcement inspection; <br />• Structural steel inspection (CWI); <br />• Hot-mix asphaltic concrete (HMAC) field and laboratory testing as required; and <br />• Masonry inspection and testing. <br />This scope of work also consists of performing geotechnical engineering and pavement <br />design services. <br />A. Soils: <br />The Consultant will: <br />1) Perform one (1) moisture/density relationship test (TEX 113) for each type of subgrade <br />material encountered and each type of borrow material utilized on this project. <br />2) Perform one (1) Atterberg limits determination for each type of subgrade material <br />encountered and each type of borrow material utilized on this project. <br />3) Perform one (1) in-place nuclear density test (ASTM D 2922) as specified by the <br />construction documents; per lift of subgrade, structural fill, backfill, embankment, and <br />flexible base <br />B. Drilled Piers: <br />The Consultant will: <br />1) Perform full time inspection of pier drilling operations (one materials technician per <br />drilling rig) including: recording a drilled pier log, verifying bearing material, inspecting <br />concrete reinforcing, and sampling and testing pier concrete. <br />2) Engineering review of geotechnical report, pier drilling specifications, and foundation <br />plan. In addition, the Consultant will locate a geotechnical engineer on site during the <br />drilling of the first pier only.
