therewith; <br />C) having more children of faculty members reside in the City will increase <br />enrollment in and add to the diversity and quality of schools in the City; and <br />d) the education levels and varied fields of discipline of faculty members <br />associated with a major university such as Texas State who reside in the City will enable <br />the City to attract specialized research and development and other opportunities closely <br />related to various academic disciplines. <br />Section 1.05. As the economic development benefits enumerated above are consistent <br />with the purposes of the Program, the City has asked Texas State and Texas State wants to <br />participate in the Program. Participating in this program will help Texas State recruit and <br />employ Qualified Faculty Members and will help it achieve its educational mission. <br />Section 1.06. The Parties wish to define their respective duties and obligations necessary <br />to encourage certain faculty members employed by Texas State to maintain their primary <br />residences in the City utilizing the resources available through the Program. <br />Section 1.07. For the reasons stated in these Recitals and in consideration of the mutual <br />benefits to and promises of the Parties set forth below, the Parties want to enter into this <br />Agreement and agree to the terms and conditions set forth in this Agreement. <br />PART 2. IMPLEMENTATION <br />Section 2.01. Within 30 days after the Effective Date, Texas State shall designate a <br />representative responsible for coordinating its activities under this Agreement with the City <br />Manager of the City or his or her designee. Within 60 days after the Effective Date, the <br />designated representative of Texas State and the City Manager shall jointly develop a written <br />plan or program consistent with the terms below for implementing this Agreement.
