b) Texas State shall provide to Texas State staff involved in the hiring and <br />contracting of Qualified Faculty Members information, training and/or education about <br />the Program and its benefits. Efforts under this subsection may include such things as <br />allowing representatives of the City to participate in faculty recruiting events, <br />distributing promotional literature to and/or providing information about any websites <br />developed by the City regarding the Program and/or the positive attributes of the City. <br />C) Texas State shall refer successful applicants for Qualified Faculty Member <br />positions to the City or the City's designated agent to receive further information about <br />the Program and shall further provide to such applicants promotional literature and/or <br />information about any website developed by the City regarding the Program and/or the <br />positive attributes of the City. <br />The designated representative of Texas State and the City Manager may agree to such other <br />efforts consistent with the purposes of this Agreement as part of the plan or program adopted <br />under Section 2.01. <br />PART 4. INCENTIVE PROVIDED BY THE CITY <br />Section 4.01. Local Residency Incentive. The City shall expand the Program to <br />include funding for a local residency incentive to Qualified Faculty Members. Subject to <br />funding under the Program, Qualified Faculty Members shall be entitled to apply for financial <br />assistance contingent upon establishing their primary residence in the City and such reasonable <br />financial, credit and other parameters imposed under the Program. As of the Effective Date, the <br />financial assistance the City will make available to Qualified Faculty Members is a forgivable <br />down payment assistance loan or grant in an amount not to exceed $5,000.00 that is to be applied <br />toward the purchase of a single family residence.
