36. Reconvene and Consider Action on Item Discussed During Executive Session. <br />The San Marcos City Council reconvened into regular session at 10:06 p.m. on Tuesday, August 17, <br />2010. <br />The San Marcos City Council provided direction to the Interim City Manager regarding duties of <br />Interim City Manager. <br />37. Question and answer session with press and public. <br />1. Jamie Kilpatrick, San Marcos Daily Record, inquired to changes to the Election <br />Ordinance Item #11. <br />Michael Cosentino, City Attorney, stated the changes were made to match what Hays County <br />had made (name changes of election day places and to hold two days of early voting at Tx State <br />University). <br />2. Andy Sevilla, Newztream, inquired to the City Manager vacancy posting and whether the <br />timeline dates have changed. <br />Mayor Narvaiz stated the timeline still remains the same and provided the date of when the City <br />Manager job was posted. <br />3. Andy Seviall, Newztream, inquired to the importance of appointing a City Manager by <br />October 1, 2010. <br />Mayor Narvaiz stated the date for the City Manager finalist was the consensus of the City <br />Council. <br />38. Adiournment. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Jones and a second by Councilmember <br />Terry, the City Council voted seven for and none (0) opposed, to adjourn the regular session of <br />the San Marcos City Council at 10:20p.m. on Tuesday, August 17, 2010.
