9. David M. Newman inquired to why the City Council choice to set aside recommendation <br />from the EAA regarding not to build this project. Mayor Narvaiz stated Staff received a <br />formal letter from EAA supporting the project. <br />10. Blaine Eiben inquired to the City's well water testing. Laurie Moyer stated Staff follows <br />the laws and regulations the State requires <br />11. Lee Balley inquired to the wells that become contaminated and whether there is a kill <br />switch for the wells. Michael Cosentino stated the City is required to follow all the rules <br />and regulations. He also stated there are measures for a kill switch. <br />12. Shannon Brotherton inquired to the City's legal responsibilities for the water quality of <br />the City. Michael Cosentino stated the City has the duty to make sure all rules and <br />regulations provided by the State and Federal Government are followed. <br />13. Jay Stiles inquired to the process of the Throughfare Plan called for certain roads in the <br />McCarty Road area and why others were added in the plan. Laurie Moyer stated the City <br />uses the Transportation Master Plan as their guide for roads. The Throughfare Plan was <br />created from the Transportation Master Plan. <br />10. Adiournment. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Terry and a second by Councilmember <br />Thomason, the City Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed, to adjourn the regular <br />session of the San Marcos City Council at 7:25 p.m. on Tuesday, August 31, 2010.
