ACTIVITIES: 2.1 Review existing design criteria, specifications and details used by the City. 2.2 Interview operations staff concerning lift station maintenance and operations issues to identify areas where design and construction requirements can be improved. 2.3 Meet with City staff and others to discuss lift station criteria. 2.4 Prepare design guidelines, calculation templates, details and specifications for the construction of lift stations to be dedicated to the City for maintenance. 2.5 Provide plan review assistance and lift station inspection training to city staff. GOAL 3: To assist the City during the bidding, award and construction phase of the Cottonwood Creek Interceptor project. ACTIVITIES: 3.1 Coordinate with and assist the design engineer in the review and approval of submittals associated with the lift station and force main construction. 3.2 Provide construction management and inspection services on the lift station and force main construction. B. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES 1. You will report and be directly responsible to the City's Director of Environment and Engineering (the "Director"). 2. Your work priorities for activities and work assignments will be periodically reviewed by the Director and re-directed in her or his discretion. 3. You verify that you are a licensed professional engineer in Texas in good standing, and you agree to maintain this licensing throughout the term of this agreement. 4. All documents prepared by you in connection with this agreement will become the property of the City whether any project related to this agreement is executed or not. C. COMPENSATION; TERM In consideration of your services, the City agrees to pay you the sum of $95.00 per hour, up to a maximum total of $40,000. The term of this agreement is12 months beginning on the date of this letter. Either party may terminate this agreement at any time upon ten days' written notice to the other party. 2
