<br />ACTIVITIES: <br /> <br />2.1 Review existing design criteria, specifications and details used by the City. <br /> <br />2.2 Interview operations staff concerning lift station maintenance and operations <br />issues to identify areas where design and construction requirements can be <br />improved. <br /> <br />2.3 Meet with City staff and others to discuss lift station criteria. <br /> <br />2.4 Prepare design guidelines, calculation templates, details and specifications for the <br />construction of lift stations to be dedicated to the City for maintenance. <br /> <br />2.5 Provide plan review assistance and lift station inspection training to city staff. <br /> <br />GOAL 3: To assist the City during the bidding, award and construction phase of the <br />Cottonwood Creek Interceptor project. <br /> <br />ACTIVITIES: <br /> <br />3.1 Coordinate with and assist the design engineer in the review and approval of <br />submittals associated with the lift station and force main construction. <br /> <br />3.2 Provide construction management and inspection services on the lift station and <br />force main construction. <br /> <br />B. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> <br />1. You will report and be directly responsible to the City's Director of Environment and <br />Engineering (the "Director"). <br /> <br />2. Your work priorities for activities and work assignments will be periodically reviewed by the <br />Director and re-directed in her or his discretion. <br /> <br />3. You verify that you are a licensed professional engineer in Texas in good standing, and you <br />agree to maintain this licensing throughout the term of this agreement. <br /> <br />4. All documents prepared by you in connection with this agreement will become the property of <br />the City whether any project related to this agreement is executed or not. <br /> <br />C. COMPENSATION; TERM <br /> <br />In consideration of your services, the City agrees to pay you the sum of $95.00 per hour, up to a <br />maximum total of $40,000. The term of this agreement is12 months beginning on the date of this <br />letter. Either party may terminate this agreement at any time upon ten days' written notice to the <br />other party. <br /> <br />2 <br />
