The Engineer will ensure that plan sheets show grading and construction details for the major
side streets adjacent to the access roads and the intersections at W. Laurel Street, Eastwood St.
and Bobcat Dr. details will include lip of gutter ( "LOG ") or edge of pavement ( "EOP ") grades,
depending on the approved typical section, and cross slope information.
1.6.5 Prepare retaining wall plan and profile sheets for Mechanically Stabilized Earth ( "MSE ")
walls.
1.6.6 Develop proposed cross sections at 50 -ft., increments. Additional cross - sections will be
developed to tie -in cross street and driveway locations for the length of the project.
1.6.7 Deliverables. As part of this Task 1.6 deliver to the City:
1) Two (2) 11x17 paper copies of the 30 %, 60% and 90% plans for review before
submitting the final set of plans.
2) Ten (10) copies of the final plans and one (1) Mylar set of plans.
1.7 TASK 7 - DRAINAGE (TxDOT Function Code 161)
The Engineer will:
1.7.1 References. Unless otherwise specified, the City and the Engineer agree that the current
online TxDOT Hydraulic Design Manual ( "HDM ") will serve as the basis for the drainage
policy, procedures, guidelines, report and plan sheet documentation required for this Project.
Local drainage criteria will not be used for the project without the prior approval of TxDOT.
1.7.2 Drainage Coordination. Coordinate drainage issues with TxDOT by written submission
to the District Hydraulics Engineer ( "DHE ") through the TxDOT Project Manager for requests
for clarification of Project drainage requirements, interpretation of the HDM, or requests for
changes in design direction, or for other issues involving the engineering work for the drainage
design of this project.
1.7.3 Descrintion of Work. Include in the overall Project drainage analysis and design cross -
drainage culverts and internal drainage systems, including open channels, culverts, inlets, and
underground storm drain systems. Perform hydrologic and hydraulic ( "H &H ") analysis and
design necessary to prepare Project PS &E.
1.7.4 FEMA Coordination. - There are no existing bridges crossing natural or man -made
waterways, nor any FEMA- regulated 100 -year floodplains, within the project limits. Therefore,
neither the City nor the Engineer anticipates FEMA coordination on this Project.
1.7.5 Temnorary Drainaae Facilities - Develop temporary drainage facilities plans necessary to
allow staged construction of the Project. Design required temporary drainage structures for a 5-
1IDR — Loop 82 Project Agreement
19
