amendment to the Future Land Use May from "LDR" Low Density Residential to "MDR" • <br />Medium Density Residential for a 0.35 acre, more or less, tract of land located at 1248 <br />Conway Drive; amending the Official Zoning Map of the City by rezoning this tract from <br />"SF -6" Single - Family Residential District to "TH" Townhouse Residential District; and <br />including procedural provisions; and consider adoption of Ordinance 2011 -02. <br />Mayor Guerrero opened the public hearing at 8:08PM. There being no further comment, the public <br />hearing was closed at 8:08PM. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Jones and a second by Councilmember <br />Thomason, the City Council voted (7) for and (0) opposed, to adopt Ordinance 2011 -02, as <br />previously captioned. The motion carried. <br />NON - CONSENT AGENDA <br />18. Consider an ordinance amending the City's 2010 -2011 Budget to authorize the expenditure <br />of an amount not to exceed $142,000 of Hotel Occupancy Tax Funds for the San Marcos <br />Convention and Visitors' Bureau to conduct a Marketing and Advertising Program to <br />promote the San Marcos Outlet Stores; providing an effective date; and approving on first <br />of two readings. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Porterfield and a second by Councilmember • <br />Thomason, the City Council voted (7) for and (0) opposed, to approve the Ordinance on the first of <br />two readings. The motion carried unanimously. <br />19. Consider the confirmation of Jim Nuse, City Manager's appointment of George A. Landry <br />to the Civil Service Commission. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Jones and a second by Councilmember <br />Thomason, the City Council voted (7) for and (0) opposed, to approve the appointment of George A. <br />Landry to the Civil Service Commission. The motion carried unanimously. <br />20. Remove from table (December 7. 2010 Regular Meeting) receive a presentation and hold a <br />discussion regarding the implementation issues associated with Distributed Generation <br />Systems and direction to Staff. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Terry and a second by Councilmember <br />Prather, the City Council voted (6) for and (1) opposed ( Councilmember Jones), to approve <br />removing the item from the table. The motion carried <br />Kyle Dicke, Assistant Director of Public Services, presented Council with a PowerPoint presentation <br />regarding distributed generation systems. Upon completion of the presentation City Council <br />directed staff that they would like a workshop to discuss the items that they were presented, <br />preferably prior to a Regular Council Meeting. 0 <br />
