46. <br />Regular Meeting April 5, 2005 Page 13 <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced continuing Executive Session pursuant to the <br />Government Code, Section 551.071, to seek the City Attorney's advice <br />regarding pending litigation, contemplated litigation, a settlement offer, <br />or a matter involving attorney - client privilege (San Marcos Area Chamber of <br />Commerce economic development agreement); and Section 551.076, to discuss <br />commercial or financial information the City has received from a business <br />prospect that the City seeks to have locate, stay or expand in or near the <br />City and with which the City is conducting economic development <br />negotiations, or to deliberate the offer of a financial or other incentive <br />to such a business prospect (Post Road area) at 10:09 p.m. <br />Mayor Pro -Tem <br />Mayor Narvaiz announced the Council will reconvene at 10:28 p.m. <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration action or direction to Staff on <br />matters discussed in Executive Session. Mr. O'Leary stated Council <br />provided direction regarding the use of Executive Sessions at the San <br />Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce economic development meetings.
