On March 22, 2005, the City Planning and Zoning Commission held a public hearing <br />regarding a request to change the Future Land Use Map of the San Marcos Horizons City Master <br />Plan from Low Density Residential to Mixed Use, and a concurrent request to change the zoning <br />from "R-l" Single Family Dwelling District (Low Density) To "MU" Mixed Use District, for a <br />0.80 acre, more or less, tract of land located at 906 Chestnut Street. <br /> <br />2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />considered and voted to approve the requests on March 22, 2005, and recommended that the <br />requests be approved by the City Council. <br /> <br />3. The City Council held a public hearing on May 3 ~ 2005 <br />requests. <br /> <br />regarding the <br /> <br />4. All requirements of Chapter 1, Development Procedures, of the City Land <br />Development Code pertaining to Future Land Use Map Amendments and Zoning Map <br />amendments have been met. <br /> <br />5. The City Council hereby fmds and determines that the adoption of the following <br />ordinance is in the interest of the public health, morals, welfare and safety. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The Future Land Use Plan of the San j\1arcos Horizons City Master Plan is <br />revised to change the future land use designation for the following real property from Low <br />Density Residential to Mixed Use: <br /> <br />Street address: <br /> <br />906 Chestnut Street <br /> <br />Size: <br /> <br />0.80 acres, more or less <br />
