Call to Order and Announce a Ouorum is Present <br />With a quorum present, the Regular Meeting of the San Marcos City Council was called to order by <br />Mayor Daniel Guerrero at 6:02 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 in the Council Chambers of the City <br />of San Marcos City Hall, 630 East Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas 78666. <br />3. Consider adoption of Resolution 2011 -32R approving the Citv Council's Strategic Initiatives <br />and declaring an effective date. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Jones and a second by Councilmember <br />Prather, the City Council voted (7) for and (0) opposed, MOTION TO AMEND: Upon a motion <br />made by Councilmember Jones and a second by Councilmember Scott, the City Council voted (7) for <br />and (0) opposed, to amend initiative #2 following `effort': "in addition, cultivate a culture of customer <br />friendliness throughout the entire city organization," MOTION TO AMEND: Upon a motion made by <br />Councilmember Jones and a second by Councilmember Prather, the City Council voted (7) for and (0) <br />• opposed, to amend Initiative #5 to say "Reinforce the importance of local creativity, historic <br />preservation, livable wage jobs, and overall health & wellness for our citizens.
