Mr. O'Leary stated the modified rate is based on the <br />CPI index for urban wage earners, clerical workers and the gasoline index. <br />He stated the new rate for the City is $15.07. Mr. Bose inquired as to TDS <br />amending their contract. Mr. O'Leary stated when the solid waste service <br />contract went out for bids, Staff felt the City would get a better price if <br />the contract would allow for rates depending on CPI indexes for urban wage <br />earners, clerical workers and gasoline index. Mr. O'Leary stated this proposed amendment <br />is to revise the current Water Conservation Ordinance to allow for the use <br />of mobile car wash activities in San Marcos. The Council voted unanimously <br />for approval of the Ordinance on first reading. <br />
