Citations of applicant's legal authority to plan for and implement flood protection <br />measures for the study watershed or if authority to plan is by interlocal agreement, <br />attach agreement to application. <br />The City of San Marcos has the authority, through the adoption of the Floodplain <br />Management Ordinance, as codified under Section 64 of the Development Code, to <br />administer and implement the provisions of this ordinance and other appropriate sections <br />of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFlP) found in 44 CFR, relating to floodplain <br />management The City adopted this Ordinance in 1977 and revised it in 2000. <br /> <br />Hays County has the authority to plan for and implement flood protection measures for <br />the study watershed by virtue of a Commissioners Court Order, in which it entered the <br />National Flood Insurance Program. <br /> <br />. .
