<br />Sees. 14.106-14.130. Reserved. <br /> <br />ARTICLE 7. FUEL GAS CODE <br /> <br />Sec. 14.131. Amendments. <br /> <br />The fuel gas code adopted by section 14.002 is amended as follows: <br /> <br />103 is deleted. <br /> <br />104.8 is deleted. <br /> <br />106 is deleted. <br /> <br />Sec. 14.132. Permit; licensing. <br /> <br />(a) A person applying for a fuel gas permit shall be: <br /> <br />(1) A licensed master plumber under state law; or <br /> <br />(2) Exempt from the state licensing law. <br /> <br />(b) A state licensed master plumber shall register with the city and show proof of the license before <br />any work is performed witlrin the city or the city's ETJ <br /> <br />(c) If the building owner is claiming an exemption under state law because he owns and presently <br />occupies the building as his homestead and is planning to do the work himself, then the owner shall <br />provide an affidavit to the building official stating that he owns and presently occupies the building as <br />his homestead. <br /> <br />(d) Gas work by maintenance persons exempt from state licensing is subject to the following: <br /> <br />(1) Only maintenance of existing gas systems such as replacing stops or the piping between the <br />stop and the appliance served may be performed. <br /> <br />(2) A maintenance person may perform gas maintenance work only upon property owned by <br />the person's employer. A maintenance person who performs tlris work upon the property of more than <br />one person is deemed to be performing gas work for the general public and shall be a state-licensed <br />plumber. <br /> <br />Sees. 14.133-14.185.
