<br />not been lawfully issued to the person displaying it. <br /> <br />(4) Failor refuse to surrender to the building official any license for electrical work that has <br />been suspended or canceled. <br /> <br />(5) Apply for or have in one's possession more than one current city electrical license of the <br />same type. <br /> <br />(6) Use a false or fictitious name or address in any application for any license or permit <br />provided for in this article or any renewal or duplicate or make a false statement or conceal a material <br />fact or otherwise commit fraud in making any application. <br /> <br />(7) Perform any electrical work for which a license is required without having the license or <br />while the license is suspended, expired or canceled. <br /> <br />(8) Perform electrical work in any manner in violation of any restrictions imposed on a <br />restricted license. <br /> <br />(9) Perform any electrical work for which a permit is required without having the permit or <br />after the permit has been canceled. <br /> <br />(10) Failor refuse to make the necessary repair or changes as provided in a written notice <br />issued under subsection 14.606 . A separate offense is deemed to be committed each day after the <br />expiration of the time for correction provided in the notice until the work is corrected. <br /> <br />(11) Permit electrical work covered by this article to be performed by any person not properly <br />licensed, while owning or in control of premises covered by this article. In addition to other penalties <br />assessed, the person shall immediately, upon notification by the electrical inspector, cause all <br />offending work to be removed or correctly installed by a properly licensed person. <br /> <br />(12) Perform electrical work covered by this article without a required license. <br /> <br />(13) Break, change, destroy, tear, mutilate, cover or otherwise deface or injure any official <br />notice or seal posted by the electrical inspector. <br /> <br />(14) Tamper with an electric meter. <br /> <br />Sec. 14.272. Certificate of insurance required. <br /> <br />(a) A licensed electrician performing electrical work in the city shall provide the inspection division a <br />certificate of insurance that meets the requirements of subsection (b) of this section. The building <br />inspections division will not issue a license until it receives the certificate of insurance. <br /> <br />(b) A certificate of insurance shall: <br /> <br />(1) be written by a company licensed to do business in the State of Texas; <br /> <br />(2) provide for commercial general liability for the electrician for property damage or bodily <br /> <br />25 <br />
