<br />access or sight until it has been inspected and approved by the electrical inspector, and no electrical <br />work may be connected to a source of energy until the work is completed and all outlets supplied with <br />approved fixtures, devices or covers and the work has been fmally approved for service. <br /> <br />(f) If the electrical work meets all the requirements ofthis article upon final inspection, the electrical <br />inspector will take reasonable action to allow connection of the electrical work to a source of energy <br />and will issue a written certificate of approval, upon request, to the permit holder to cover the work. <br /> <br />(g) If the electrical work fails to meet the requirements of this article, the permit holder will be notified <br />at the jobsite by the electrical inspector of the deficiencies. If the work is on premises already <br />connected to a source of energy, the permit holder will immediately take action to correct the defects <br />and call for reinspection of the work. Failure to do so may be cause, if the electrical inspector deems <br />public safety to be compromised, for an order to the serving utility to disconnect power until the <br />defects are corrected. If public safety is not involved and the deficiencies are not corrected within 10 <br />working days from date of written notification, the electrical inspector will refuse to issue any further <br />permits for electrical work on that jobsite until the defective work is corrected and approved in <br />accordance with this article. <br /> <br />(h) The building inspection division will keep a written log of passed and failed inspections. <br /> <br />(i) Temporary power for testing may be permitted for up to 90 days upon written request of the permit <br />holder. <br /> <br />Sec. 14.607. Registered industrial plant program. <br /> <br />(a) Electrical work may be performed in an industrial facility other than a health care facility or a <br />public school without obtaining city permits, subject to the following conditions. <br /> <br />(1) The work performed is limited to the repair, modification, or installation of equipment or <br />branch circuits; <br /> <br />(2) The work is performed by a master electrician or a person under the direct supervision of a <br />master electrician; and <br /> <br />(3) The work has been inspected by a certified inspector who is approved by the city. The <br />inspector shall be a master electrician. <br /> <br />(b) The facility shall maintain records on all work performed under this program and shall include: <br /> <br />(1) A description of the nature and location of the work; <br /> <br />(2) The name and license number of all persons performing this work; and <br /> <br />(3) The name of the approved inspector, dates of inspection, results of inspection, and a <br />statement signed by the approved inspector stating that the finished work complies with the applicable <br />provisions of this code. <br /> <br />(c) All work involving sub-panels, panels, electrical service, or other similar work shall be subject to <br /> <br />41 <br />
