<br />(2) All work shall cease immediately if no other licensed master electrician or journeyman is <br />working on the project prior to the death or other inability of the permit holder. In this case a new <br />permit may be issued to another master electrician upon the request of the project owner and upon <br />approval of the board. <br /> <br />(d) When two or more master electricians are working on the same job, the supervision, direction and <br />control of the work will be the responsibility of the person to whom the permit was issued. <br /> <br />Sec. 14.604. Emergencies. <br /> <br />Where electrical equipment replacements and repairs must be performed in an emergency situation to <br />restore power to an occupied building, the emergency repairs may be performed without a permit. <br />However, the electrician performing the work shall submit a permit application for the work on the <br />next business day. <br /> <br />Sec. 14.605. Permit cancellation. <br /> <br />(a) When the holder of the permit issued under this division fails or refuses to complete work, in <br />whole or in part, the building owner, the general contractor, or the person in charge ofthe construction <br />on behalf of the owner may submit a written request to cancel the original permit to allow another <br />licensed contractor to secure a permit to complete the work. <br /> <br />(b) Upon receipt of a request for cancellation in accordance with section (a), the building official will <br />cancel the permit, and will notify the previous permit holder in writing of the cancellation of the <br />permit. <br /> <br />(c) Fees paid by the original permit holder will not be refunded or credited toward the cost of the <br />subsequent permit. <br /> <br />Sec. 14.606. Inspections. <br /> <br />(a) The electrical inspector will make inspections of all electrical work and will enforce all sections of <br />this article by entering any building or premises at reasonable times, after presentation of proper <br />credentials to the owner or other person in control of the building or premises. <br /> <br />(b) Where electrical work is in a dangerous or unsafe condition or is deemed to be an interference with <br />the work of the fIre department, the electrical inspector or fire marshal will notify the permit holder for <br />the work to place it in a safe, secure and noninterfering condition. <br /> <br />(c) The electrical inspector will inspect electrical work after rough-in and upon fmal completion of the <br />work. When additional inspections are necessary, the electrical inspector will notify the permit holder <br />in writing. <br /> <br />(d) The permit holder shall schedule inspections before the day the inspection is desired. The <br />inspection will be made as soon as practical. <br /> <br />(e) No electrical work for which a visual inspection is required may be concealed in any manner from <br /> <br />40 <br />
