• <br />(a) Forms solids in concentrations exceeding the limits established in this <br />division; <br />(b) Creates a condition deleterious to any sewer system or treatment <br />process owned or operated by the city; or <br />(c) Requires unusual provisions, attention, or expense to handle in the <br />sewer system. <br />22. Phenols or other substances in concentrations that produce odor or taste in <br />the receiving stream, where used as drinking water by other people; <br />23. Any biocidal agent that would interfere with the wastewater treatment <br />process or constitute a hazard to aquatic and terrestrial life or impair <br />designated uses of the receiving stream; <br />24. Hazardous waste as defined in 40 CFR 261. <br />• <br />• <br />Pollutants, substances, or wastewater prohibited by this Section shall not be processed <br />or stored in such a manner that they could be discharged to the POTW. <br />Sec. 86.118. National Categorical Standards <br />Users must comply with the categorical Pretreatment Standards found at 40 CFR <br />Chapter I, Subchapter N, Parts 405 -471. <br />A. When wastewater subject to a categorical Pretreatment Standard is mixed with <br />wastewater not regulated by the same Standard, the Director shall impose an <br />alternate limit in accordance with 40 CFR 403.6(e). <br />Sec. 86.1119. Local Limits <br />A. The Director is authorized to establish Local Limits pursuant to 40 CFR <br />403.5(c). <br />B. The following pollutant limits are established to protect against Pass Through <br />and Interference.
