7. Surcharge Computation: 0 <br />S = V x 8.34 x (COD — 350) x surcharge rate <br />8. Definitions: <br />S. Surcharge in dollars that will appear on the monthly billing to customer. <br />V Volume of monthly water usage in millions of gallons based upon the <br />most recent twelve month average, or a minimum of six months average <br />for new customers. <br />8.34 Weight in pounds of a gallon of water. <br />COD Chemical oxygen demand — a measure of wastewater quality in mg /1. <br />350 Level of COD in normal domestic wastewater. <br />SECTION 2. If any word, phrase, clause, sentence, or paragraph of this <br />ordinance is held to be unconstitutional or invalid by a court of competent <br />jurisdiction, the other provisions of this ordinance will continue in force if they can be <br />given effect without the invalid portion. • <br />SECTION 3. All ordinances and resolution or parts of ordinances or resolutions <br />in conflict with this ordinance are repealed. <br />SECTION 4.
