Mayor Narvaiz thanked the Planning and Zoning Commission and <br />Staff for being available to answer questions. Mr. Thomaides moved t <br />amend the City's Future Land Use Map and send Items 36, 37 and 38 back t <br />the Planning and Zoning Commission to look at al ternati ve zoning and t <br />follow the normal notification, and Mr. Guerrero seconded the motion, which <br />passed unanimously. Mayor Narvaiz stated speakers have signed up to speak <br />regarding this item. 1) John Ferrell stated he is the property owner of a <br />property which was sent back to Planning and Zoning Commission. He stated <br />he does not have an issue to comment on at this time. 2) Stephanie Dreyer <br />stated her parents are the owners of property described as Items 36, 37 and <br />38 located at 1406, 1408 and 1410 Bishop. She stated this property is <br />located on the corner of Bishop and Franklin. She stated her parents have <br />tried to sell this property for one year under the zoning of R-1. She <br />stated her parents are requesting these three lots be rezoned to Mixed Use. <br />3) Terry Ellison stated he is the owner of property identified as Items 36, <br />37 and 38 located at 1406, 1408 and 1410 Bishop. He stated he feels the <br />Council has made a reasonable attempt to help with the rezoning of these <br />three lots. He stated a Mixed Use zoning is a more reasonable zoning. 4) <br />Jerry Williamson stated he is the owner of property identified as Item 51 <br />located at 1425 Ranch Road 12. He provided pictures of the area around <br />1425 Ranch Road 12. He encouraged the Council to keep the Mixed Use zoning <br />in this area. 5) William Barnes stated he resides at 1419 Ranch Road 12 <br />next to Mr. Williamson. He stated this area has deed restrictions and feelo <br />Mixed Use zoning is the proper zoning. 6) Sheri Bilson stated she feel <br />the Mixed Use zoning for the Ellison property is a fair compromise. Th <br />Council also pulled Items numbered 15, 16, 17, 27, 28, 29, 30, 101 and 120. <br />Mr. Thomaides stated he would like to send Item 15 located at 123 Blanco <br />back to the Planning and Zoning Commission to consider other zoning options <br />and to go through the normal notice process. Mr. Mihalkanin stated he <br />agrees with Mr. Thomaides. The Council agreed by consensus to not send <br />Item 15 back to the Planning and Zoning Commission. The Council agreed by <br />consensus to send Items 16, 17, 27, 28, 29 and 30 back to Planning and <br />Zoning Commission to consider other zoning options and to go through the <br />normal notice process. Mr. Thomaides inquired as to the zoning on Item 101 <br />since it is a visible entrance to the downtown. Betsy Robertson, Planning <br />and Zoning Commissioner, stated this property is located at a busy <br />intersection. She stated there is no room for a service station or drive- <br />thru, so the Planning and Zoning Commission felt General Commercial was a <br />better zoning for this property. The Council agreed by consensus not to <br />send Item 101 back to the Planning and Zoning Commission. Mr. Taylor <br />inquired as to the Planning and Zoning Commission changing the zoning to <br />SF6 for Item 120. Ms. Robertson stated the property owner was requesting <br />TH and Planning and Zoning Commission felt this property was not large <br />enough for townhomes. The Council agreed by consensus not to send Item 120 <br />back to the Planning and Zoning Commission. Mr. Thomaides moved to amen <br />the zoning map to send Item 101 back to Planning and Zoning Commission fc <br />the normal notification process. There was no second, and the motio <br />
