such as bottled water and fuel in the City, and is posing the distinct potential for the need <br />to provide shelter for a large number of evacuees over the next several days; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of San Marcos has determined that <br />extraordinary measures must be taken to minimize or alleviate the potential suffering of <br />people and to protect or rehabilitate property within the City; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DECLARED BY THE MAYOR OF THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br />Section 1. A state of disaster is declared within the City of San Marcos. <br />Section 2. The City's Emergency Management Plan has been implemented. <br />Section 3. The state of disaster shall continue for a period of not more than seven <br />days from the date hereof, unless continued by consent of the City Council of the City of <br />San Marcos, Texas. <br />Section 4.
