<br />141. <br /> <br />THE STATE OF TEXAS <br /> <br />JOINT ELECTION AGREEMENT <br /> <br />THE COUNTY OF HAYS <br /> <br />KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: <br /> <br />That the San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District, a quasimunicipal corporation, <br /> <br />hereinafter referred to as the "School", acting by and through its President of the Board of Trustees and the <br /> <br />City of San Marcos, a municipal corporation, hereinafter referred to as the "City", acting by and through its <br /> <br />City Manager, enter into this Joint Election Agreement pursuant to the terms and provisions herein stated <br /> <br />and pursuant to the terms of the Texas Election Code: to-wit: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. <br /> <br />School, and City hereby agree jointly to hold General and Special Election by <br /> <br />the City, and the San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District. Said joint election will be held at <br /> <br />the various polling places and election precincts within the corporate limits of the City, and within the <br /> <br />boundaries of the School District, as hereinafter designated, on the 4th day of May, 2002, from the hours of <br /> <br />7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., at which joint election there shall be elected by the qualified voters of the City a <br /> <br />City Mayor for a term of two years, a City Council Member for Place Three and a City Council Member <br /> <br />for Place Four, for terms of three years each, and by the qualified voters of the School District a Board of <br /> <br />Trustee Member for Single Member District One, a Board of Trustee Member for Single Member District <br /> <br />Two and a Board of Trustee Member for Single Member District Three, for terms of three years each. In <br /> <br />the Special Election there shall be elected by the qualified voters of the School District a Board of Trustee <br /> <br />Member for Single Member District Five for the unexpired term of two years. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. <br /> <br />That the election precincts for the City election shall be substantially the same <br /> <br />precincts as those Hays County Election Precincts which are within the corporate limits of the City of San <br /> <br />Marcos, and for the School District election, all those Hays, Caldwell, and Guadalupe County Election <br /> <br />Precincts which are within the boundaries of the School District. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. <br /> <br />That the polling places for each School District Single Member District, <br /> <br />precinct, and entity for this election shall be as follows: <br /> <br />SCHOOL DISTRICT SINGLE MEMBER DISTRICT 1: <br /> <br />110 (Portion) <br /> <br />Entity <br />School <br /> <br />Polling Place <br /> <br />Hays County Election Administrator's Office <br />40l-C Broadway <br /> <br />Precinct # <br /> <br />112 (Portion) <br /> <br />City/School <br /> <br />Guadalupe Hall <br />Corner of Churchill and Roosevelt <br />
