Permits. <br /> <br />(a) A person applying for a mechanical permit shall be: <br /> <br />(1) A licensed air conditioning and refrigeration contractor under state law; or <br /> <br />(2) Exempt under state law from the licensing requirement. <br /> <br />(b) A state licensed air conditioning and refrigeration contractor shall register with the City once a year <br />and show proof of the license before any work is performed within the City. <br /> <br />(c) If a building owner is claiming an exemption under state law because he is plal1l1ing to do the work <br />him or herself, then the owner shall provide an affidavit to the building official stating that he owns <br />and occupies the building as his homestead. <br /> <br />Sees. 14.078-14.100. Reserved. <br /> <br />ARTICLE 6. PLUMBING CODE <br /> <br />Sec. 14.101. Applicability. <br /> <br />All city plumbing regulations apply throughout the city limits, and also apply to all plumbing work, <br />regardless of location, performed on pipes connected to the city water or wastewater system. <br /> <br />Sec. 14.102. Amendments. <br /> <br />The plumbing code adopted by section 14.002 is amended as follows: <br /> <br />103 is deleted. <br /> <br />106 is deleted. <br /> <br />109 is deleted. <br /> <br />501 is amended by adding 501.9 to read as follows: <br /> <br />501.9.
