<br />permits for electrical work on that jobsite until the defective work is corrected and approved in <br />accordance with this article. <br /> <br />(h) The building inspection division will keep a written log of passed and failed inspections. <br /> <br />(i) Temporary power for testing may be permitted for up to 90 days upon written request of the pennit <br />holder. <br /> <br />Sec. 14.607. Registered industrial plant program. <br /> <br />(a) Electrical work may- be performed in an industrial facility other than a health care facility or a <br />public school without obtaining city permits, subject to the following conditions. <br /> <br />(1) The work performed is limited to the repair, modification, or installation of equipment or <br />branch circuits; <br /> <br />(2) The work is performed by a master electrician or a person under the direct supervision of <br />a master electrician; and <br /> <br />(3) The work has been inspected by a certified inspector who is approved by the city. The <br />inspector shall be a master electrician licensed by the city. <br /> <br />(b) The facility shall maintain records on all work performed under this program and shall include: <br /> <br />(1) A description of the nature and location of the work; <br /> <br />(2) The name and license number of all persons performing this work; and <br /> <br />(3) The name of the approved inspector, dates of inspection, results of inspection, and a <br />statement signed by the approved inspector stating that the finished work complies with the applicable <br />provisions of this code. <br /> <br />(c) All work involving sub-panels, panels, electrical service, or other similar work shall be subject to <br />city electrical permit requirements. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. If any word, phrase, clause, sentence, or paragraph of this ordinance is held to be <br />unconstitutional or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the other provisions of this ordinance will <br />continue in force if they can be given effect without the invalid portion. <br /> <br />SECTION 4. All ordinances and resolution or parts of ordinances or resolutions in conf1ict with this <br />ordinance, and City Code Section 34.091, are repealed. <br /> <br />SECTION 5. Any person violating any provision of this ordinance commits a misdemeanor and is subject <br />to the penalty provided in Section 1.015 of the San Marcos City Code upon conviction. <br /> <br />SECTION 6. This Ordinance will take effect 10 days after the date of its final passage, and the City Clerk <br />will publish notice of its adoption in a newspaper of general circulation in the City. <br /> <br />C:\TEMP\bldg code 2-13-02 incdoc <br /> <br />43 <br />
