<br />If a variance is not granted, the applicant or permit holder shall remove or remedy all affected <br />work. <br /> <br />112.7 Procedures. The board may promulgate rules governing its meetings and proceedings, <br />subject to this article. The board will meet as necessary to hear appeals and variances. The <br />board will conduct a public hearing on each matter that it considers in order to allow any <br />member of the public to speak regarding the matter. Persons desiring a hearing by the board <br />may be placed on the agenda by notifying the building official. The meeting will be held no <br />more than 10 days from the date the request was received. <br /> <br />115 is deleted. <br /> <br />708.4, exception 5 is deleted. <br /> <br />708.10 is added to read as follows: <br /> <br />708.10 Fire partitions in R-2 occupancy shall be installed in attic and f1oor-ceiling spaces. <br />Irrespective of section 708.4, each tenant space shall be protected by no less thall one-hour fire <br />resistance protection extending to the underside of the floor/ceiling assembly or roof/ceiling <br />assembly. <br /> <br />903.1.1 is amended by adding the following: <br /> <br />903.1.3 More restrictive section applies. Where fire sprinklers are required in other sections <br />of this code, the most restrictive requirement will apply to methods of construction, <br />installation, or other system requirements. <br /> <br />903.1.4. Additions and Expallsions. When any part of a new addition, alteration, or attached <br />construction causes the cwnulative area of the structure to exceed a fire area of 18.000 square <br />feet, an automatic fire sprinkler system is to be installed in the existing structure in addition <br />to the new construction area. <br /> <br />903.2.7 is deleted and replaced with the following: <br /> <br />903.2.7 Group R-1. An automatic sprinkler system shall be provided throughout buildings <br />with a Group R-l fire area. <br /> <br />Exceptions: <br /> <br />1. Where guestrooms (a) are not more than two stories above the lowest level of the exit <br />discharge, (b) have at least one door leading directly to the exterior, and (c) have a fire area <br />less than 12,000 sq. ft. <br /> <br />2. A residential sprinkler system installed in accordance with Section 903.3.1.2 shall be <br />allowed in Group R-l buildings, or portions thereof. <br /> <br />903.2.8 is deleted and replaced with the following: <br /> <br />C:\TEMP\bldg code 2-13-02 inc. doc <br /> <br />8 <br />
