IIS; and
SMTP (must allow relay through client's mail server).
4) Web Extension Enable:
ASP.NET Framework 3.5; and
ASP Dual Database Server.
5) Database Server:
The Minimum Hardware Requirements include:
Dual Core 3 GHz CPU;
3 GB RAM;
Dual NIC* *(Recommended but not required for installation); and
RAID.
—5
6) Software:
Windows Server 2008 R2 with latest service pack;
SQL Server 2008 R2 with latest service pack;
In the Vendor's approach, the content in the Website and the Intranet plus all
management tools would be separate; however, the Intranet will pull public events and
news content from the main website as needed so that there is no duplication of this type
of content.
27. Job Postings
Provide a job postings component to attract possible candidates and avert the flood of
telephone inquiries about positions that do not exist. This, of course, keeps the City's
administrative costs down. In order to post jobs the City's Hyman Resources staff fills
out a simple form with fields such as position, department, salary, and benefits. Staff can
schedule when postings go live on the Website and when they expire, thus simplifying
the process and reducing the City's administrative time and cost. To make it easy for
users, the interactive components will filter based on available positions by category, type
of position, posting date, and salary. As is normal for all components, City staff may
define the categories or classification of job postings. In addition, with the e- Notification
component, job postings may also be broadcast to subscribers via email.
31
Web Redesign and Content Management System
