<br />to be competitively bid without written consent of the City and the Engineer and with notice to the <br />Contractor. <br /> <br />1.5 ADDITIONAL SERVICES <br /> <br />1.5.1 Since the Engineer's compensation is a fixed fee for Basic Services, including minor <br />deviations from those described in this Agreement, compensation to the Engineer for additional <br />services will only be for substantial deviations from the scope of services described in this <br />Agreement. The Engineer will submit a written estimate of fees to the City and obtain the City's <br />authorization before initiating any additional services. The following are included as additional <br />serVIces. <br /> <br />1. If environmental issues are identified that prevent the installation of the lift station <br />or pipelines or require rerouting, the resolution of these issues and/or rerouting of the <br />pipelines will be an additional service. <br /> <br />2. Travel and subsistence required of the Engineer and authorized by the City to points <br />other than local government agencies, consultants and the project site. <br /> <br />3. Additional copies of reports and specifications (over agreed number) and additional <br />blueline copies of drawings (over agreed number). <br /> <br />4. Design of odor control facilities for the force main or the lift station. <br /> <br />5. Contract and coordination with a geotechnical consultant to provide construction <br />materials testing (CMT) services during construction. <br /> <br />6. Assistance to the City for the resolution of warranty issues for a period of 12 months <br />from the date of project acceptance. <br /> <br />7. Restaking after initial staking for design or construction phase. <br /> <br />8. Assistance to the City as an expert witness in any litigation with third parties aIising <br />from the development or construction of the project. <br /> <br />9. Detailed mill, shop, and/or laboratory inspection of materials or equipment. <br /> <br />10. Certifications beyond those specifically identified in this Agreement. <br /> <br />11. Preparation of a Traffic Control Plan. Traffic control will be coordinated and <br />performed by the City and the Contractor. <br /> <br />12. County or City Permitting. <br /> <br />9 <br />
