<br />1.3.4 Address cultural resources (historical and prehistoric) under the Texas Antiquities <br />Code in coordination with the Texas Historical Commission priorto authorizing construction <br />of the Project. <br /> <br />1.4 TASK 3 - DESIGN/PLAN PREPARATION <br /> <br />The Engineer will: <br /> <br />Preliminary Design: <br /> <br />1.4.1 CADD - Survey Intake/Prepare Base Sheets/Record Review: Use the survey <br />information to prepare Microstation base sheets for use in the design of the sewer line. <br /> <br />1.4.2 Site Investigation: Visit the site to confirm accuracy of the survey and to make notes <br />to assist in the design of the sewer line. <br /> <br />1.4.3 Identify Existing Services: Review the sewer connections provided by the City and <br />notify the City of any discrepancies that are uncovered. The identification of the service <br />connections by the City will prevent any current customers from being disconnected once <br />the new line is constructed. <br /> <br />1.4.4 Utilities Research: Contact other utility and communications providers, to include <br />telephone, gas, electric and fiber optic companies and request record drawings of their <br />facilities. The Engineer will add this information to the base sheets in order to identify <br />potential utility conflicts in the preliminary design phase. The Engineer is not responsible <br />for field verification. <br /> <br />1.4.5 Preliminary Design: Produce mark-ups of the proposed sewer line showing all <br />grades, pipe sizes, conflicts, and proposed construction methods and prepare a preliminary <br />design set. <br /> <br />1.4.6 CADD - Address Utility/Preliminary Design Mark-Ups: Prepare a complete <br />preliminary design set of plans that addresses the Engineer's design comments and utility <br />comments. <br /> <br />1.4.7 Structural Design of Aerial Crossing: Investigate the structural requirements of the <br />proposed aerial crossing and submit a preliminary design to the City. <br /> <br />1.4.8 Traffic Control Design: Prepare preliminary traffic control plans for City review and <br />comment. <br /> <br />1.4.9 Submittal to City: Meet with the City to submit drawings for review and comment <br />upon completion of the preliminary design phase. <br /> <br />Final Design: <br /> <br />3 <br />
