TELECOMMUNICATIONS SERVICES AGREEMENT <br />This Agreement is effective this 2nd day of August, 2011 between the City of San <br />Marcos, Texas, (the "City "), 630 East Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas 78666 and CenturyLink <br />Sales Solutions, Inc. as the contracting agent on behalf of the affiliated CenturyLink entities <br />providing products and services (the "Contractor "), 400 W. 15th Street, Austin, Texas 78701 for <br />the provision of telecommunications services (the "Project "). <br />The City and the Contractor agree as follows: <br />ARTICLE 1 <br />CONTRACTOR'S STANDARD OF PERFORMANCE AND SCOPE OF WORK <br />1.0 STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE <br />1.0.1 The Project generally includes the Contractor's provision of goods and services for a <br />turnkey installation and maintenance of local, long distance and point -to -point T1 connectivity <br />telecommunications services and the related on -going maintenance and support services, <br />including any new or enhanced services that may require equipment and /or cabling such as <br />cable, connectors, jacks, support devices, mounting brackets and boards, racks, proper <br />grounding, interface equipment, service equipment, peripheral equipment station devices and <br />training. The Contractor understands that any required installation of equipment be as <br />transparent as possible to insure that the City and its customers experience a minimum of <br />telephone service interruption, change in temporary dialing procedures and degradation of <br />service quality. <br />1.0.2 The City owns a fiber optic network to connect City facilities; however, there are no <br />services related to the fiber optic network included in this Agreement. Currently the City utilizes <br />three (3) Point -to -Point T1 spans that are included within the scope of this Agreement. The <br />following is a list of the City's current services: <br />a) Local Services: Local services include two TI Primary Rate Interface ( "PRI ") spans, 9 <br />Blocks of 100 Direct Inward Dial ( "DID ") Numbers, Incoming DID Trunks, and Ground <br />Start Trunks for Public Branch Exchange ( "PBX ") use. The City has four (4) Nortel <br />PBX sites. All four sites are networked together to provide centralized services at the <br />Municipal Building location. Centralized services include long distance, voice mail, call <br />accounting, attendant answering, and a call center. <br />b). Long Distance Services: The City generates an average of 16,998.4 minutes of long <br />distance per month. <br />Telecommunications Services Agreement 2011 <br />1 <br />
