<br />Sec. 2.192. Rules and regulations; quorum. <br /> <br />The drainage advisory board will adopt the rules and regulations it deems best to govern its <br />actions, subject to the general laws of the state, this Code, the Charter and any other ordinances <br />of the city and other action of the city council. The board will meet as often as it deems <br />necessary. At all meetings, the majority of the board constitutes a quorum, and the concurrence <br />of a majority of those present is required for the determination of matters within its jurisdiction. <br /> <br />Sec. 2.193. Purpose. <br /> <br />The purposes of the drainage advisory board are: <br /> <br />(1) To hear requests for revisions to determinations of land use categories or ERU <br />assignments made by the director of environment and engineering under Chapter 86, <br />Article 8 of this code; <br /> <br />(2) To serve as an advisory board to the city council and city staff concerning storm <br />drainage; and <br /> <br />(3) To determine credits toward drainage charges under Section 86.505(e) of this Code. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. Division 10, Cemetery Commission, of Chapter 2, Article 3 of the City Code is <br />amended as follows (underlining indicates added text; ovcr5trikc indicates deleted text): <br /> <br />DIVISION 10. CEMETERY COMMISSION <br /> <br />Sec. 2.251. Established; memberships and terms. <br /> <br />(a) The cemetery commission is established. <br /> <br />(b) The commission will consist of seven members who will be appointed by the director of <br />parks and recreation city council. <br /> <br />(c) The terms of office of members will be staggered. The terms of three members will expire <br />in on June 30th of odd-numbered years, and the other four terms will expire on the datc of the <br />fir5t rcgulal city council mcctillg in June 30th of even-numbered years. Terms will be for two <br />years. <br /> <br />Sec. 2.252. Purpose. <br /> <br />The purpose of the cemetery commission is to act as a liaison between the city staff and <br />citizens to determine citizen expectations and give recommendations to the city staff council for <br /> <br />C:\TEMP\board and comm'n-staff boards.wpd <br /> <br />3 <br />
