allow each citizen to evaluate our performance. Should we receive any questions or a
less than desirable evaluation, our staff will immediately respond and take any and all
appropriate measures to ensure customer satisfaction. Furthermore, a record of all
contact with citizens will be maintained and the city will receive from us a quarterly
report listing the citizens name, address, nature of the inquiry, date and any measures
taken. This report will not only allow the City and Easter Seals to monitor performance
levels but it will also insure customer needs are better addressed when we return to
perform maintenance again in the future.

Traffic Controls

Employee safety is a primary concern but even more so when performing work in and
around street right-of-ways. All necessary and appropriate measures will be taken to
avoid injuring our employees and/or the public.

In the performance of this contract, signs will be placed in accordance to local guidelines
for the purpose of alerting motorists that work is being performed along the right-of-way.
These signs will also be placed in such a manner so as not to interfere with a motorist's
line of sight or impede pedestrian traffic.

Scope of Work

1. Description: This item shall govern for the cutting of vegetation and the removal
of debris in selected right-of-ways, alleyways, creeks and other open waterways
in conformance with the details as shown on the plans provided by City staff.
2. Equipment: The following equipment will be the minimum that will be used in
the performance of the work. Walk-behind mowers, weed-eaters, chainsaws,
riding tractor with shredder, push mower, blowers and other hand tools as needed.
In the event larger equipment is needed, we will notify the appropriate City
personnel for approval.
3. Sequence of work: Work to cut vegetation in the right-of-ways, vacant land,
alleyways and a pond will begin within thirty (30) days from the notice to
proceed. It is recommended that prior to the start of work, the City and the
Contract Manager for Easter Seals meet and discuss scheduling priorities.
Depending on when the notice to proceed is given, work in the creeks mayor may
not begin within the 30 days. It is recommended that due to the nature of the soils
and ground water conditions currently in and around the creeks, it may be
preferable to postpone the first cut of these creeks until conditions are a little
dryer. However, should this prove to be a hardship for the City, work in these
areas will also begin within 30 days of notice to proceed.
4. Maintenance time limits: This proposal is for the cutting and/or removal of
vegetation and debris from right-of-ways, vacant land, alleyways and a pond on a
varying basis.

4
